Vitek Design invested in a new website to better reflect our work and to update our overall web presence. The simplified navigation and page structure allows us to focus on our most important business feature - Our Work. A slick sliding portfolio using jQuery allows for many samples to be viewed very quickly. Rather than inundating the viewer with countless items, it was most important for us to show our wide range of design and client base. A complete backend administration system allows us to quickly make updates and rearrange the portfolio entries as new work is completed.

The client intranet is also updated to reflect our new look. This is where clients can log in and view concepts, proofs and design direction wherever they may be. It allows us to streamline the design process by speeding up revisions and approvals.

Finally, another new aspect of the site is the incorporation of this Sketch Collection blog. Below is the original dictionary definition of "sketch" which inspired the blog's nomenclature. "A brief written account or description of something" really hit home along with the idea of it being "a rough or unfinished version of any creative work." We hope this is a continual work in progress that results in an "amusing thing". The word "blog" is very boring but of course it's a socially accepted term. Hopefully we have provided a little insight into the Vitek Design culture and philosophy. We look forward to posting new entires.
